After some soul searching, I have decided to become a volunteer at:
(That is, if they take me!)
I just see these poor animals on Animal Cops, and I see this "poor, rotten" spoiled dachshund who sleeps on my pillow next to me at night (did I mention that in my next life I'm coming back as Lucy?) and I just want to help. I feel my heart being torn when I see abused animals!
So, I'll say a little prayer tonight that they accept my application!

I think that what you are doing is fantastic! I will donate $, run charity races, sign petitions etc. for the humane society but can never volunteer there. I would put them out of business because I would bring every animal there home, I'm that much of a animal lover.
It breaks my heart when I think about the abused animals, puppy mills, katrina pets, michael vick's pets, all those sad things, but it nice to hear someone trying to make a difference. We don't have enough of that in this world.

Terri, more power to you. It's a great cause. We got one of our kitties from the Adopt-a-pet events at the Zoo which was sponsored by the Humane Society. They are the best folks to deal with and Daisy is a great pet.
AHHH this is fantastic. I think you will really feel a great sense of accomplishment with this and be so contented. Ofcourse, they will take you OR they are nuts!!
Hey Terri, I have been MIA too so just catching up and popping in to say hi! I think what you are doing is incredible! Good for you! As you know I do my little bit to help needy animals too, wish I could do more! And my Lucy sleeps on my pillow too lol!!
